Dubai is the land of life and love. Dubai (دبي) is one of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates. In the 1950’s Dubai was just a mass of sand, everything changed with the discovery of oil.
In no time Dubai was the land of the party and undoubtedly the number 1 tourist destination. With travel and tourism contributing to 12% of their GDP, there are some things one CANNOT and MUST NOT miss.
Though Dubai is the #1 tourist destination, it is definitely not light on the pocket! But it definitely is worth every dirham of yours! My advice, stay here for more time. Don’t club too many activities in a short period of time.
Feel the warmth and love of this place. Here are a few places that you must visit.
Though Desert Safari sounds unappealing, desert safari in Dubai will blow your mind. They take you dune bashing on a 4X4, which is like a small rollercoaster ride. In addition to this, ATV riding is the cherry on top.
These camps have sandboarding, camel riding too. The desert guarantees an amazing experience with music, dancing, hookah, and drinks.
Visiting the desert post lunch would be the ideal time as you can gaze at the stars in the beautiful desert.
Ski Dubai is an indoor ski resort in the Mall of Emirates with 22,500 sq meters of amazing ice. There are many packages available here, but taking the unlimited snow access makes the most sense.
This gives you access to the whole ski resort for the whole day with the most amazing Ski Dubai merchandise and food. Ski Dubai offers rides and activities for all age groups and guarantees fun!
Do not forget to avail the complimentary hot chocolate after your ski! Ski Dubai also is home to Penguins, yes you read it right! Taking the right package will give you the opportunity of spending time with hundreds of these cute penguins!
Palm Jumeirah – Atlantis, The Palm
These are the famous tree-shaped man-made islands known for glitzy hotels, apartments, and restaurants. The Atlantis is a 5-star hotel on the edge of these islands.
There is a monorail that connects the mainland to Atlantis, giving a wonderful view and is lighter on the pocket. Staying at Atlantis for one night costs at least Rs.40,000 but it is worth the money. The Atlantis also has its very own Water Park which is open to the public and guests.
Again, taking a one-day pass is perfect, giving you full access to all the thrilling slides, refreshing pools, and miles of white sandy beaches. Staying at the hotel also gives you an opportunity to play with dolphins.
It also has one of the world’s biggest aquariums that is home to 140 different species. The Palm has too much to offer.
Limousine Ride and Burj Al Arab
Dubai is the land of the rich. Why not live like a celebrity for a day?
Renting Limos is very easy in Dubai and costs about Rs.10,000 depending on the limo. Driving around in a fancy limo gives you unexplainable joy and happiness and access to any and all locations in Dubai.
My advice, treat yourself to the world’s only 7-star hotel. The Burj Al Arab literally translates to “Tower of the Arabs”. The Al Arab has an amazing “High Tea” experience for its guests. It costs exorbitantly high for evening tea, but the experience will blow your mind.
It caters to a variety of cuisines and you get a tour of this beautiful hotel. It also has the world’s highest tennis court and if you’re lucky you can spot a few celebrities.
Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountains
The Burj Khalifa needless to say is the most famous thing about Dubai. It has 162 floors with a height of 828 meters. Other than being the tallest building in the world, it is home to 900 luxury residences and hotels that cost millions.
The Dubai Fountains is part of the Burj Khalifa Lake and the Dubai Mall. It is a choreographed fountain system that is free of cost. The fountain plays a variety of music, after a long day people are seen here enjoying the musical fountain.
Dubai Miracle Garden, Global Village, and Dubai Creek
These places are perfect if you want to have a fun, relaxed day. The Dubai Miracle Garden is a flower garden occupying over 72,000 sq meters. This place feels like a warm hug with around 50 million flowers all over.
It has numerous structures made from all kinds of flowers. The Global Village combines cultures from over 80 countries all in one place. There are numerous places to eat, shop, and enjoy from Egypt to India to China.
Dubai Creek has located 30km from the Miracle Garden, it has amazing restaurants, markets and offers boat rides. A walk in the evening by the creek is the perfect way to end a tiring day.
Aqua Fun Water Park and Car Shows
The Aqua Fun WaterPark is the biggest inflatable swimming park with obstacle courses, ramps, and bridges. It’s super fun for kids and adults, located amidst the blue sea. The water park is only open during certain times and keeps changing.
Automotive shows are big in Dubai as it is home to the most expensive and exquisite car collections. There are hundreds of different shows that are open to the public and should not be missed!
Abu Dhabi is the capital of the United Arab Emirates, this city has so much to offer. Taking a day or two for this beauty is suggested. Abu Dhabi is home to Ferrari World. Ferrari World is an amusement park in Yas Island, it has the fastest roller coaster in the world. It has so many amazing and thrilling rides that will leave you hungry for more.
The Sheikh Zayed Mosque is the largest mosque and undoubtedly the most beautiful mosque. It has 24-carat gold chandeliers and the world’s largest hand-knotted carpet. Besides being an architectural beauty it provides a sense of peace and faith. Pictures cannot do justice to what this place provides.
The Yas Marina Circuit is the venue of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. This place is a must-visit for F1 lovers. The public is allowed to go for a drive for a few minutes without permission. The Yas Marina circuit is the most expensive circuit ever built, you will know when you see it. If you’re lucky you can hear the melody of the exhaust of these cars during practice!
